Lee Sutherland is a Health / Fitness Expert and Director of Fitness In The City (Personal Training, Certified Health Coach and blogger on all things health, nutrition and fitness). She is also a regular contributor to publications such as Lululemon Aust/NZ, Yahoo!, Prevention Magazine online and MindBodyGreen, as well as an expert contributor on Sporteluxe and The Fit Foodie blog.
Lee's business Fitness In The City was born out of sheer frustration at the lack of fitness (and health) options available that she herself wanted to do. Lee wanted a form of training that made her want to get out of bed in the morning and one that motivated her to lace up her sneakers after work. Most of all she wanted to feel supported and encouraged – not just while training but away from training when her motivation levels dropped. All she wanted was a little guidance and help to achieve her fitness goals.
So then Lee thought, "Hey, I've already studied Natural Medicinal Medicine and Nutrition and you know what? I DO spend a lot of time researching fitness and health for my own benefit. Why not take it a step further and do these things for the benefit of others? Why not study and train to become a holistic personal trainer?"
This is exactly what she did! Many hours, squats and textbooks later, Lee became a Master Personal Trainer (Cert’ 3 & 4 plus first aid) to help and guide others to make better, cleaner, healthier fitness choices (while also being realistic to our modern lifestyle).
Lee is a strong advocate for the eating clean and consuming whole foods in their natural state. And she certainly can’t say no to raw desserts!
