Amelia Phillips has been in the health and wellness industry for over 18 years, and a fitness nut her entire life. Since completing a Science degree, she has enjoyed a career as a personal trainer, nutritionist, health club owner and corporate speaker.
Amelia is a co-founder of both the Michelle Bridges 12 Week Body Transformation and Voome.com.au. She is also the Health and Fitness Expert on Channel 9’s Today Extra, and appears regularly on A Current Affair and The Today Show.
As for her personal health and fitness, Amelia is a marathon runner, loves boxing, weights, spin classes, Pump and skiing. She admits to being terrible at ball sports and hates anything to do with cold water! Her secret weapon for health is a balanced approach, where nothing is off limits, extreme or gimmicky – Real food, correct portion sizes, occasional treats and the 80/20 rule.
Amelia lives in Sydney with her husband Tim, three toddlers and their dog Diesel. When not working, you’ll find her and her family at the beach, on family walks in Sydney’s gorgeous Centennial Park or at their favourite restaurants with friends – or at the gym!
Amelia sees fitness and nutrition as a training platform that can improve all areas of life.
"Confidence grows when achievements are made. Fitness allows people to develop themselves in areas other than work, or home life. The fun, physical outlet adds a third dimension which can drastically change a person’s enjoyment of life. What excites me the most is witnessing the mental transformation when clients reach new physical levels. Self discipline, commitment, determination, ability to cope with challenges and pressure are just some of the skills that clients develop, not to mention all the physical improvements".
